For some of us, autumn feels like\u00a0finally<\/strong>. For others, more like\u00a0oh no, already?<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope summer gave you something you needed \u2013 rest, laughter, people you enjoy being with, new thoughts, or perhaps simply a little more breathing room between all the musts.<\/p>\n

And yes, there can be something comforting about returning to everyday life and familiar routines. But perhaps we do not need to return to\u00a0all the old routines<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Summer has already shaken up the calendar a little. So we might as well stop and ask:<\/p>\n

What do I want to carry forward \u2013 and what do I need to do differently?<\/strong><\/p>\n

We live in a time when it is easy to feel overwhelmed. By the news. By change. By AI and everything we are supposed to understand. By demands, pace and people who do not always think, feel or act the way we do.<\/p>\n

We cannot influence everything.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

But we can influence more than we sometimes think.<\/strong><\/p>\n

How we lead ourselves.
How we meet others.
How we build relationships.
How we communicate when things become difficult.
How we lead people and organisations through change.
And how much of the good around us we choose to contribute ourselves.<\/p>\n

Positivity is contagious. So are courage, curiosity and care.<\/strong><\/p>\n

So perhaps autumn is not the time to automatically fall back into old patterns.<\/p>\n

Perhaps it is a good opportunity to\u00a0strengthen what already works, change what needs changing and create something new where it is needed.<\/strong><\/p>\n
